Fungal Nail Disease
Fungal nail disease (onychomycosis) affects many people. Fungi that feed on keratin, a structural protein within your nails, often causes condition and can be difficult to clear. The disease may result in pain, is contagious and results in a negative self image.
Why Laser?
- Safe & effective
- No side effects
- Only 2 treatments required
- Painless with no recovery time
- Nail Polish can be applied straight away
How soon will I have clear nails?
Results are not immediate, but rather as the nail grows you will notice new, healthy growth from the nail base. Nails grow slowly so a complete result is observed months following the procedure. The ultimate result may be seen as much as 10-15 months after the procedure.
Signs of Fungal Nail Infection
- Discoloured nails
- Yellow streaks under the nail
- White spots or streaks on the nail surface
- Distorted or thickened nails
- Brittle, crumbly or ragged nails
- Nails separated from the underlying nail bed
- Build up debris under the nail
How it works
The procedure consists of 2 treatments, 6 weeks apart. During each treatment, a specially designed laser beam is able to pass through the nail and into the nail bed where the fungi are located. The laser energy then heats the colonies and destroys the fungi and spores, without causing damage to the nail and adjacent skin. All 10 nails are treated as fungi can live on other nails with no signs and be a risk or re-infection.
What else do I need to know

- Socks and shoes can be worn immediately after the procedure
